【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardgivesrecommendationsforbuildingandmaintainingwebproductsthatareaccessibleto,usablebyandsatisfyingfordisabledandolderpeople.Itgivesrecommendationsfor:?howorganizationsshouldensureaccessibilityisconsideredintheirwebstrategybycreatinganorganizationalwebaccessibilitypolicy(see4.2and4.3).Organizationsshouldalsoassignaroletoberesponsibleforensuringthatallwebproductsandservicesproducedorprocuredareinaccordancewiththispolicy;?howtoembedtheconsiderationofaccessibilitydecisionsthrough?theentireprocessofproducingwebproducts,anddocumentandjustifythesechoicesintheproduct’saccessibilitypolicy(see4.4and4.5);?howtoconsidertheimpactofthepurposeoftheproduct,itstargetaudienceandtheirneeds,theproduct’schoiceofplatformandtechnology,andwhethertoadoptaninclusivedesignapproachoronewhichalsoincludesanelementofuser-personalization;?howtobestuseexistingwebaccessibilityguidelines(oraccessiblewebproductiontools)intheprocessofproducingaccessiblewebproducts;?howtoensurethatwebproductsbeingprocuredratherthancreatedareselectedorspecifiedinsuchawayastoassuretheiraccessibility;and?howtoassurewebaccessibilitythroughoutawebproduct’slifecycle,byconsidereduseofvariousresearchandtestingmethodologies(includingtheinvolvementofdisabledpeople)atkeypointsintheproductionprocess;and?howtocommunicatethewebproduct’saccessibilitydecisionstoitsusersatlaunch,throughcreatingandpublishingitsaccessibilitystatement(see4.4and4.6).BS?8878isapplicabletoalltypesoforganization.Theseinclude:publicandprivatecompanies,non-profitorganizations,governmentdepartments,localcouncils,publicsectororganizationsandacademicinstitutions.Theaudienceforthisdocumentincludes:?whoeverisultimatelyresponsibleforthepoliciescoveringwebproductcreationwithinanorganizationandgovernanceagainstthosepolicies(e.g.ChiefExecutiveOfficers,ManagingDirectors,Headteachers,InformationandCommunicationTechnologies(ICT)managers);?peopleresponsibleforpromotingandsupportingequalityandinclusioninitiativeswithinanorganization(e.g.HumanResource(HR)managersorthoseresponsibleforCorporateSocial?Responsibility);?procurementmanagers(e.g.thoseresponsibleforprocuringwebproductsorthetoolstocreatethemsuchascontentproductionsystemsorvirtuallearningenvironments);?webproductionteams(e.g.productowners,projectmanagers,technicalarchitectsandwebdevelopers,designers,usabilityandaccessibilityengineers,testengineers);?peoplewithresponsibilityforcreatingorshapingonlinecontent(e.g.websiteeditors,marketingmanagers,webcontentauthors);?peoplewhocreatewebproduction,testingorvalidationtools;and?peoplewhowriteanddelivertrainingcoursesinwebproduction,designorcoding.OtheraudiencesthatmightalsobeinterestedinthisBritishStandardinclude:?assistivetechnologycreators,vendorsandtrainerswhoneedinsightsintohowtheirtechnologiesimpactontheproductionofaccessiblewebproducts;and?thosedisabledandolderpeoplewhosewebaccessibilityneedstheStandardaimstosupportandpresent.
