【摘要】:Theultravioletabsorptionofwhitemineraloilsisusedtodeterminetheirsuitabilityforuseinfood,drug,andcosmeticapplications.TheU.S.PharmacopeiaandtheNationalFormularyspecificationsformineraloilrequirethemeasurementofultravioletabsorption.1.1ThistestmethoddescribesaprocedurefortheexaminationandevaluationofNFandUSPgradewhitemineraloils.1.2Thistestmethodisnotapplicabletooilscontainingadditivessolubleindimethylsulfoxide(DMSO)thatexhibitfluorescenceorfluorescencequenchingproperties.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificwarningstatements,see7.1.1-7.1.3.
