【摘要】:Dichloromethane-solublematerialsaretypicallyreferredtoasextractives.Theseextractivesarecomprisedoforganicmaterialsthatoriginatedinthewoodorcotton.Themeasureisanindicationoftheefficiencyofremovalofthesesubstancesduringpulpingandbleaching.Theextractivelevelisofconcerntodissolvingpulpuserssincethepresenceoflargeamountsofextractivescouldinhibittheprocessingofcelluloseintothedesiredderivative.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofdichloromethane-solublematterincelluloseandisapplicabletodissolving-typecellulosepulpspreparedfromcottonorwood.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
